About Tom

Tom Wilmowski is widely considered one of Missouri and Southern Illinois’s leading personal injury lawyers. He prides himself on using his inside knowledge of the insurance industry to obtain maximum value, and often more, for his clients.

Tom brings nearly a decade of experience representing insurance carriers and some of the nation’s largest trucking companies. His in-depth understanding of their tactics and strategies allows him to effectively advocate for his clients and ensure they receive the compensation they deserve.

Tom firmly believes that each claim is unique and demands its own strategic plan. Unlike many personal injury attorneys who delegate claims to non-attorney staff, Tom is personally involved from the initial intake through settlement, post-trial motions, and appeals. This hands-on approach ensures that his clients receive the attention and care they deserve.

Tom was born and raised in the Chicago suburb of Homewood, where he graduated from Homewood-Flossmoor Community High School. He graduated with honors from Mizzou with degrees in Journalism and Political Science, and received his J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law. Throughout his career, from clerking during law school summers to the present, Tom has been on both sides of injury law, first in defense and now helping clients get the results and insurance settlements they deserve.

He and his wife, Allyson, reside in St. Louis County with their two daughters, Tabitha and Beatrice, and their Old English Sheepdog, Martha.

A Truck Accident Lawyer With a Class A CDL

Tom obtained his Class A Commercial Driver’s License in 2010, making him one of the few personal injury lawyers licensed to drive the same commercial trucks involved in the cases he handles. That firsthand understanding of trucking operations and safety regulations, combined with his years defending trucking companies and their insurers, helps him build stronger cases for the people they injure.
